LaRue G Hatfield

LaRue Hatfield age 85 of Gray, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 4, 1931 in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Everett Green and Grace (Stephens) Green.  In addition to her parents, LaRue is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hatfield who passed in September of 2016, and a brother, Eddie Green.

Surviving family include her children, Michael Hatfield of Berea, Kentucky, Timothy Hatfield of Centerville, Ohio, and Melissa Edwards of Gray, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jason Hatfield, Rebecca Hatfield, Jennifer Hatfield, and Meganne Chumley; and great-grandchildren, Michael Hatfield, Michael Neely, and Karlie Queen.

LaRue was a member of the Hazel Valley Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed needle work, reading, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Hilton Duncan officiating. Burial to follow in the Stearns Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday after 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
