LARRY W. CAMPBELL

Mr. Larry W. Campbell, age 59, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 7:30 p.m., in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Rev. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial will be at the Pine Knot Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3:00 until funeral time. Contributions may be made to the Pine Knot Cemetery Fund.

Larry was born in Corbin, Kentucky on April 18, 1950, to the late D.H. Campbell and Georgia Crook Butler. Also preceding him in death is his mom Joan Campbell, a sister Kandi Cordell, a daughter April Renee Campbell, and a brother Harold Robert Campbell.

Surviving family include his wife Debbie Wilson Campbell, a daughter Nikki Campbell Cox, a son Colby Drexal Campbell, four grandchildren Jamee Nicole, Gracie Jo, Tasha and Courtney Cox, four brothers-in-law Tony Cordell, Bubba Shaw, Randall and Bruno Wilson, a sister-in-law Jo Shaw, and a son-in-law Jimmy Cox. He had three nieces and nephews, Amity and Dustin Cordell and Carrie Shaw.

Larry was an owner of D.H. Campbell, Inc., and Pine Knot Funeral Home. He served on the boards of the McCreary County Water District and Pine Knot Cemetery, and served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.
