KIMBERLY ANN WHITEHEAD

Kimberly Ann Whitehead, age 51, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Born July 7, 1968, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Larry Ray Stephens and Betty Hooks Foy. Her mother and a granddaughter, Callie Eleanor-Grace Jones precedes her in death.

Surviving family include her husband, James C. Whitehead whom she married May 27, 2012, her sons, Michael Ray Jones (and wife Whitney) of Whitley City, Alex Edward-Dean Jones (and Donna Staley) of Somerset, Kentucky, a daughter, Maryellen Larren Jones (and Ty Dick) of Chavies, Kentucky.

Her father, Larry Ray Stephens  (wife Diane) of Pine Knot, her step-father, Michael Foy of Ohio brothers, Jimmy Stephens (wife Becky) of Pine Knot, Greg Hooks (and wife Nancy) of Warren, Michigan, and Kenny Hooks of Harriman, Tennessee.  Sisters, Jennifer Kidd  (husband Chad) of Whitley City,  Shonda Stephens Spradlin (husband Rusty) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Tonya Hooks of Dayton, Ohio, Melissa Foy Baisden (and Tommy) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Michelle Hill of Michigan, and Deanna Grove of Michigan, seven nephews and 13 nieces. 

Surviving grandchildren are Kacen Michael Jones and Hunter Dakota-Jase Staley.

Kim worked as an EMT in McCreary County for 8 years.  She had begun paramedic classes until she became ill in December of 2006.  She was a member of the Pine Knot Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed making memories with them.  She loved her church family.  She enjoyed camping and movies.  She will certainly be missed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with bro. Boyd Rowe and Bro. Jeff Bryant officiating.  Burial will be at the Sammy New Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time for services at 3:00 p.m.
