Judy Mae Coffey

Judy Mae Coffey age 69 years and 26 days of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, passed from this life on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born on February 1, 1948 in McCreary County, Kentucky to the late Carl Tisdale and Chloe (Coffey) Tisdale. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by a son, Joe Coffey, and a brother, Butch Tisdale.

Surviving family include her lifelong companion and the father of her children, Cruize Trimble; daughters, Zoe Slaughter, and Elizabeth Wright; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Judy enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In past time, she spent a lot of her time outdoors going camping and fishing. Before she became ill, she had worked for the Blue Diamond Coal Mines as a Miner. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday after 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral home.
