OBITUARY FOR JOYCE DEAN MORGAN

Mrs. Joyce Dean Morgan, age 66, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Roscoe Spradlin and Rev. Harold Gudger officiating. Special music will be provided by Joyful Noise. She will be laid to rest at the Rock Branch Cemetery in Sawyer.

She was born on November 21, 1940, in Sawyer, Kentucky, to the late William Garland Owens and Maudie Logan Owens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Dewey Starlin Owens and Eric Eugene Owens.

Joyce is survived by her husband Clarence Morgan of Parkers Lake, two sons Rick (and Cathy) Morgan and Mike (and Carolyn) Morgan all of Whitley City, and five daughters Gayle (and Jack) Luttrell, Rita (and David) Spradlin of Parkers Lake, Connie (and Jim) Pruett of Knoxville, Tennessee, Anita Jean (and Barry) Alton of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Greta (and Clint) Gregory of Casey County.

She has one surviving brother, Mitchell Garland Owens of Tiffin, Ohio and two sisters Linda (and James) Head and Phyllis (and Norman) Ridner, all of Parkers Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Morgan were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed basket making, sewing, crocheting, gardening, playing the guitar and going to church.
