Joyce Bentley

Mrs. Joyce Bentley, age 61, of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away Friday February 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on September 8, 1953 to William E. “Bill” and Maudie “Marcella” Taylor. Proceeding Joyce in death was her mother Maudie “Marcella” Taylor, her father William E. “Bill” Taylor, her grandmother Rosie Wilson Duncan Thomas, and her grandfather Jim Duncan.

Surviving family include her husband of 47 years Whit Bentley of West Harrison, Indiana; three daughters Melinda Nowlin and husband Delmar of West Harrison, Indiana, Regina Sullivan and husband Gary of Harrison, Ohio, and Artina Bentley and fiancé Paul Crowell of West Harrison, Indiana; one son James Bentley and wife Amy of West Harrison, Indiana; five brothers James Taylor and wife Carol of Batavia, Ohio, Bobby Taylor and wife Missy of Gulford, Indiana, Benjamin Taylor and wife Melinda of Aurora, Indiana, Jackie Taylor of Pine Knot,  Kentucky, and Jerry Taylor and wife Mary of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister Sharon Kenner and husband Sherman of The Villages, Florida. Joyce is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Sunday March 8, 2015 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home followed by burial at the Murray Wilson Cemetery.  Donations may be made to United Cumberland Bank Attn: Murray Wilson Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 160 Whitley City, Kentucky 42653
