JOHNNY WILLIAM GILREATH

Johnny William Gilreath, age 70, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. George Allen Coffey officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to funeral services.

Born March 28, 1943, in Holly Hill, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Arthur and Minnie (Bell) Gilreath. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister and brothera€"in-law Pernia and Arthur Walker and a brother and sister-in-law Pete and Donna Gilreath.

Surviving family include his wife Nancy (Doran) Gilreath, daughters Charlotte Brown of Florence, Kentucky, Barbara Gilreath, Hamilton, Ohio and a son Russell Gilreath, Muncie, Indiana. Brothers and sisters are: Charles (and Peggy) Gilreath, Pine Knot, Cecil (and Goldie) Gilreath, Pine Knot, Dora Bryant (and Mike Ball), Pine Knot, Anna Perry (and Brian Goad), Pine Knot, and Faye Gilreath of Ohio. He had ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Johnny was a roofer having worked for Gilreath Roofing for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
