Johnny Roscoe Cox

Johnny Roscoe Cox, age 65 years and 10 months, loving husband of Rita Bryant Cox, passed from this life on August 12, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Healthcare Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Johnny was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on October 12, 1955 to the late Robert and Hallie Selvidge Cox. He was a farmer who really enjoyed raising cattle and putting up his own hay. Johnny attended East Stearns Church of God, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and spending time with his wife whom he married September 11, 1978, they had almost 43 wonderful years together.
In addition to his loving wife, Rita Bryant Cox, he is survived by nephews; Dale Cox and wife Destiny of Winfield, TN., Justin Cox of Oneida, TN., and Preston and wife Samantha Cox of Strunk, KY., brother; Virgil and wife Paulette Cox of Somerset, KY., sisters; Phyllis Myers of Strunk, KY., Marie and husband Roy Hale of Whitley City, KY., Betty and husband Loyd Stephens of Helenwood, TN., Barbara and husband Bob Meadows of Strunk, KY., along with many other special nieces and nephews who were dear to him.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers; Roger Dale and Billy Ray Cox.
Visitation for Johnny Cox is scheduled for August 17, 2021, Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, the funeral service is Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with brothers Dennis Neal and Terry Myers officiating, burial will follow in the Hayes Creek Cemetery.
