JANET PARTHENIA CRABTREE

Janet Parthenia Crabtree, age 70, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Born March 29, 1950, in Pine Knot, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Alcie (Stephens) Smith.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Doyle, Leon, George, John Archie, Douglas, Darrell, Elisha, Elbert and James Smith, and sisters: Juanita McKnight, Margaret Smith, Reba Small, Rosetta Blevins, Luranne Phillips, and Hetta Perry.

Surviving family include her husband, Ronnie Crabtree whom she married July 20, 2000, one son, Justin Garner of Whitley City, two grandchildren: Chelsey Garner (and Chaz), and Tawnie Stephens (and Brandon), and great grandchildren: Aubree Stephens, Kayson Stephens and Arya Duncan.  Surviving brothers are Loran Smith (and Pat) of Florida and Carl Smith of Indiana and a sister Bonnie Haynes of Oxford, Ohio.

Janet was of the Church of God faith and loved spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved her dogs and working puzzles in her spare time.

A private family service was held at the Pine Knot Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 am with Bro. Tim Corder officiating and Israel Clark and Cody Canada singing.  

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
