James "Jimmy" William Stephens

James "Jimmy" Stephens age 58 of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. 

He was born February 8, 1962 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Betty (Stephens) Kidd-Goodin. His mother precedes him in death. 

James was a Veteran of the United States Army, having proudly served his country for several years. He made a living as a carpenter and enjoyed building furniture. James also enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, hunting, shooting bows, but above all, spending time with his family. 

Surviving family include his children, Ramsey Stephens Todd, Veronica Stephens Cooper, and Regina Stephens Todd; brothers, Freddie Stephens, Anthony Stephens, Michael Stephens, Danny Brown, Glendon Kidd, and Mickey Kidd, Sr.; sisters, Louina Young and Kathy Helton; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews that loved James dearly.

A Graveside service was held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Smith Cemetery of Round Top.
