JAMES DOUGLAS BALL

Mr. James Douglas Ball, age 53, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Veteran's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Gregory officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Doug was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 16, 1956, to Babe Ruth Ball and Cloa Lonnie Jones. Surviving family include his wife Donna Dople Ball of Parkers Lake, his sons Greg Ball of Whitley City and Anthony Ball of Stearns, step children Donny Paul Davenport of Oneida, Tennessee, and Dustin Leroy and Joyce Faye Davenport both of Pine Knot. He had three brothers Larry Ball of Parkers Lake, Boyd Wayne Ball of Whitmire, South Carolina, and Troy Ball of Knoxville, Tennessee, and three sisters, Brenda Ball of Whitley City, Velda Cornett of Corbin, Kentucky, and Vina Jean Ball of British Columbia, Canada.

Doug was a self-employed electrician, a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam and was a member of the Kinne Slaven Post 115 of the American Legion.
