Ivan Reese Vanover

Ivan Reese Vanover age 19 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Jellico Creek, Kentucky.

He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on December 25, 2003 to Justin Vanover and Kellie Stephens.

His father, Justin, and grandfather, Douglas Wade Vanover, precede him in death.

Surviving family include his mother and special dads, Kellie & Chris King and Rodney Heath; brothers, Waylon Heath, Easton King, and Avery Vanover; a sister, Mercy Vanover; grandparents, Patricia Vanover, Abbie Stephens, Darrell & Connie Stephens, Wanda Vanover; and mamaw & papaw Heath; special aunts, Jenny Ann “Nene” Vanover, Laura Jo “JoJo” Vanover, and Tammie “Meme” Emerson; nephews, Brentlee, Braydon, Callan; and Ivan’s special baby, “baby Rylan”.

Also surviving is a special hunting buddy, Collin Sexton; a special friend Robert “Bo” Tiley; a host of cousins, several great aunts & uncles, extended family, and friends that Ivan loved dearly.

Ivan was a 2022 graduate of the McCreary Central High School. He was your typical country boy, loving anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and mud riding. Ivan also liked to collect and trade knives and guns. He loved to go to family functions, especially for the food.  He enjoyed being with his family, his friends, and will always be remembered as the life of the party. His fun, loving, and jokester personality will be deeply missed by all.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King, Bro. Mike King, and Bro. Mike Casada officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
