Ivan Roger Bradley, age 70, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away at his home Thursday, February 13, 2014.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Brian Doebler officiating. Burial will be at the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 at the funeral home.
Roger was born at Barthel, Kentucky, on June 2, 1943, to the late Omar “Buck” and Ruth Evelyn (Hamby) Bradley. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant child, Ivan Todd Bradley and a half brother Odell Bradley.
He was married on October 2, 1976, to Rosemarie (Stewart) Bradley who resides in Pine Knot. He has two daughters; Audra Lynn Bradley and Evelyn Sue “Susie” Rodriquez (and Felipe) both of Elkhart, Indiana. He has five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He has two sisters; Ona Louise Aldred of Warren, Indiana and Margaret Carol Foster of Huntington, Indiana.
Roger had been a construction worker specializing in brick and block laying. In his off season he worked as a grill cook. He was a member of the native American Cherokee Wolf Clan of the Chickamauga Cherokee tribe. His Indian name was “Grey Fox”.
He had also been a member of the Grace Christian Center in Killeen, Texas. His favorite pastime was hunting and fishing and working with wood.
