Hurstle Anderson

Mr. Hurstle Anderson, age 83 of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of McCreary County passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Services will be held on Saturday April 18, 2009 at 2pm at the Pleasant Run Church with Bro. Dennis Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Run Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday after 12 noon until time for services at the Pleasant Run Church.

He was born at Rock Creek, KY to the late James W. and Nancey Neal Anderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Otis and Jeff Anderson and one sister, Geneva Vanover.

Survivors include his wife LeeRose Howard Anderson who he married on August 2, 1948. 1 son, Joey Anderson of Fairborn, Ohio, and 2 daughters, Karen Supper of Hillsboro, Ohio and Beverly Rochcow. One brother, Gary Lee Anderson and his wife Judy of Pine Knot, and 2 sisters, Rochelle Meadors and her husband Kenneth of Williamsburg, KY and Betty Kidd and her husband Oscar of Pine Knot. There are 5 grandchildren, Josh, Clint, Chris, Jeremy and Angie.

He was a Foundry worker and attended the Pleasant Run Church. He served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army during WW II.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family of Mr. Hurstle Anderson in his funeral arrangements.
