HOLLIE CARLIS BAIRD

Hollie Carlis Baird, age 70 of Osborne Creek Road in Strunk, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2009 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Lay officiating. Special music was provided by Judy Redden, Dennis and Kathy Neal. He was laid to rest at the Hayes Creek Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky. Hollie was born in McCreary County on July 14, 1938. He was the son of the late Arthur and Ethel Dople Baird.

Survivors include his son, Carlis Baird of Whitley City and 2 daughters, Teresa Dart of Hamilton, Ohio and Melissa Tumbleson of Dade City, Florida and their mother Brenda Ball of Whitley City. He has a sister Norma Lovett of Strunk, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Kristen, Kaitlin, Tiffany, and Carli, and two great grandchildren Deshay and Jeffrey. Also surviving is his companion, Maxine Byrd and her children.

Hollie was a factory worker for the Blue Bonnett Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
