HERBERT LEE KING

Herbert Lee King, age 31 of King Valley Road in Strunk, passed away on Sunday October 25, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 30 at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday morning after 11am until time for services. He was born in Strunk, Kentucky on July 17, 1978. He was the son of Mr. Roger Hal Strunk, Sr. and the late Evelyn Creech Acres. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Lynn King. Survivors include his father, Roger Hal King, Sr. and step mother Roberta Jones King of Strunk, his wife Angelia King and a daughter, Chelsie Leann King. 3 step daughters, Nakisha Yancey, Bronica Singleton and Jessica Perry. Brothers, Roger Hal King, Jr., Eddie Acres, Kevin Acres, Jeffery Acres, and Barry Acres, and sisters, Betti Perry and husband Kevin of Whitley City, Retia Crew and husband John of Lebanon, OH, Kathy Yancey of Indiana, Robin Gregory of Oklahoma and Kristi Mutter of Mt. Washington, KY. He was disabled and a former member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Herbert Lee King in his funeral arrangements.
