HAZEL LAVONE EVANS

Hazel Lavone Evans, age 51, passed from this life on February 23, 2012 at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Bryant and Bro. Dillard Bryant officiating. Burial will take place at the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 a€" 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born July 10, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred White Brandenburg. Also preceding her in death are a son John Christopher Knuckles, a sister Augusta Chapman, three brothers; Leroy, Charles Cecil and Benny Clay Brandenburg, and two nephews Millard Brandenburg and Joshua Stines.

Surviving family include a daughter Tamitha McCullough of Pine Knot, Kentucky, two sons Gregory Pennington, Hamilton, Ohio and Dalton Evans, also in Ohio and four sisters; Peggy Gibbons, Gracie Pennington, Sylvia Bowling and Cora McKnight, all of Ohio. There are three grandchildren; Travis McDowell, Cheyenne and Jonathan Starrett. There are many nieces and nephews and other family and friends surviving.
