Gordon Wilson Perry, age 44, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at the U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born July 3, 1973, the son of Steven R. Perry and the late Hazel Vaughn. Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Steven L. Perry.
Surviving family include his father, Steven R. Perry (wife Kathy Lynn), of Stearns, his ex-wife and life long friend, Deborah Duncan of Stearns, three sons: Jason R. Perry (wife Farra R.) of Whitley City, Jesse Ale Perry (and Haley Wilson) of Stearns, and James N. Duncan of Stearns, a sister: Echo Perry of New York City, five grandchildren: Jayci Perry, Kolbie Lewis, Kallie Lewis, Cage Perry and Ravyn Perry and six step-grandchildren.
Gordon had worked in construction as a roofer, did factory work and had last worked for Highland Steel. He attended the City of Refuge Church. He was a real outdoors person, enjoying hiking and fishing. He loved to listen to music but mostly, he loved his family.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 14, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at the Pine Knot Cemetery.
