GLORIA DELOIS KIDD

Ms. Gloria Delois Kidd, age 75 of the Kingtown Community in Strunk, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2006 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 1 at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Kingtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9pm Friday at Pine Knot Funeral Home.

She was born in Eubank,Kentucky on August 22, 1930. She was the daughter of the late, John T. and Luria Vickery Kidd. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hobert "CH" Kidd and a sister, Mary Marie Kidd.

Survivors include a son, Danny Kidd and his wife Carolyn of Richmond, Kentucky. 3 daughters, Deborah Mullins and her husband Carl of Winfield, Tennessee, Kim Williams and her husband Richard of Winfield, Tennessee, and Tyra Cross of Oneida, Tennessee. She has one brother, Theodore Kidd of Pine Knot and 2 sisters, Doris Kidd of Pine Knot and Joyce Jones of Marietta, GA.

She has 11 grandchildren, Brittany, Lori, Dale, Dean, Beth,Lesley, Daniel, John, Seth, Joshua and Ethan, and 6 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew, Austin, Emma, Katie and Maggie.

Ms. Kidd was homemaker and attended the Hightop Baptist Church. She loved to garden and sew and always enjoyed the company of a good book. She was also a builder of sorts and did a wonderful job of remodeling.
