Glenna Jewell Troxell, age 76, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Glenna’s family surrounded her during her final moments and were able to comfort her.
She was born on December 17, 1946 and was the widow of Larry Troxell. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Hill Top Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, quilting, and vacationing at the beach which her family. One trip to the beach was interrupted by an incoming hurricane, but she appeared unphased as her children spotted her still eating her pie on the back porch. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband; the father of her children and first husband, Darrell Coleman; brothers, Kernie Hatton, Billy Hatton, James Paul Hatton; a sister, Fern Lowe; and a granddaughter, Brittani Smith.
Glenna is survived by a large host of loving family, which includes her daughters, Sandy Cordell (Larry), of Ferguson, Kentucky, Linda Turner (Kyle), of Crossville, Tennessee, Michelle Troxell, of Highland Heights, Kentucky; her sons, Jessie Coleman (Tracy), of Stearns, Kentucky, Michael Troxell (Maggie), of Revelo, Kentucky; a sister, Thelma Johnson (Jerry), of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Josh Smith (Brittney), Tyler Cordell, Lenzie Cordell; great grandchildren, Hudson Smith, Hensley Smith, Kyleigh Stanton; and her dog, Ginger.
Pine Knot Funeral Home will be transporting Glenna to Spring Grove Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Spring Grove Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements for funeral services, those are pending at this time. Burial will take place in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
