Gerline Bryant

Gerline Bryant age 77 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at her home.

She was born on February 1, 1940 in McCreary County, Kentucky to the late Elmer Spradlin and Clara (Garland) Spradlin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Bobby “Bert” Bryant, and Delbert “Shorty” Bryant, Jr., brothers Calvin Spradlin, Fred Spradlin, and 2 infant brothers, 2 infant sisters, and a brother-in-law, Stanley Lynch.

Surviving family include her sons, Darrell Bryant and wife, Naomi, of Revelo, Kentucky, and Jeff Bryant and wife, Mary, of Lockland, Ohio; daughters, Helen Watters and husband, Conley, and Marilyn Vanhook, and husband, Darriel, all of Whitley City; brothers, Roger Spradlin and wife, Sherry, of Sydney, Ohio, and Bois Dean Spradlin and wife, Connie, of Somerset, Kentucky; sisters, Diane Tucker of Marshes Siding, Tilda Lynch of Somerset, and Kay Robertson and husband, Charlie, of Russell Springs; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 2 on the way and one great great grandchild on the way.

Gerline enjoyed dancing, walking, canning, and working. But above all things, she loved the Lord and her family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Dow Goodin and Bro. John Goodin officiating. Burial to follow in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday after 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
