George Levi Rose, age 80, husband of Affie Nadine “Jude” Rose of Parkers Lake passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
Born August 13, 1936, in McCreary County, he was the son of the late Harrison and Ethel (Morgan) Rose. Also preceding him in death was his two brothers Luster and Arlis Rose; three sisters Ella Privett, Mandy Keith, and Josephine Rose.
Surviving family include his wife Affie Nadine “Jude” Rose; son Ricky Rose; daughter Sharon Foster and husband Edward C. Foster; two brothers Euel and Hobert Rose; three sisters Abbie Campbell, Pearlie Ridener, and Ruby Minnick, his grandchildren Crandell Foster and wife Lauren Scott Foster, Rachel Foster Marlow and husband Brandon Marlow, Rebecca Foster Patrick and husband Justin Patrick, Makayla Foster, Rostin Foster, Makenzie Foster, Colton Foster, and Kendra Foster. Also surviving great children Payden Foster and Claire Patrick with one on the way Lucas Foster.
George was of the Baptist faith and worked as a logger. George loved and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of George Rose with funeral arrangements.
