GAYLON EUGENE KING

Mr. Gaylon Eugene King, age 82, of Pine Knot, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the Baptist Regional Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 15, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. He was laid to rest at the King Meadows Cemetery in Pine Knot.

Born January 6, 1928, in Revelo, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ed A. and Ella Ramsey King. Also preceding him in death are his brothers Clell King and T.J. King and sisters Ida Stephens, Rillie King, and Susie Taylor. Surviving family include his wife Lois Ball King whom he married February 18, 1948, a daughter Kathy King of Pine Knot, two grandchildren Jonathan and Mikayla Manning and an sister Wilma Cox of Pine Knot.

Mr. King was a deacon in the Meadows Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner of King's Slaughter House.
