GARY LYONS

Gary Lyons, age 60 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Winfield, Tennessee. 

He was born in Jellico,Tennessee on May 20, 1956, the son of Doris Albert and Diane I. (King) Lyons. He was the meat department manager for Save-a-Lot Foods.  Gary enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling.

His parents; daughter, Darby Lyons; and brothers, Doris Lynn Lyons and Glenn Lyons precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Retia (Fancher) Lyons; step father, Darel King; sons, Tyler Lyons of Collierville, Tennessee, Cody Lyons and Dylan Lyons both of Oneida, Tennessee; brother, Clay Lyons (Sherri) of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kaden Lyons, Ruger Lyons, Isaiah Carroll, and Bentley Carroll; special friends, Jim Daugherty, Sonny Vanover, and Doc Gilreath.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 8pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating.  Burial was on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Cooper Memorial Gardens in Oneida.
