Gary Ancil King

Gary Ancil King age 67 of Strunk, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at his home. 

He was born September 10, 1951 in Strunk, Kentucky to the late Noble King and Betty Jo (Miller) King. In addition to his parents, a brother, Lowell King, and sisters, Tammy King, Debbie Ridner, and Pandora "Tina" Crabtree precede him in death. 

Surviving family include Mary Jewell and their children: Shannon Jewell, Gary Ale King, both of Strunk; Jamie King Smith and husband, Ranson of Somerset, Kentucky; a brother, Dallas King and wife, Kathy, of Hawaii; sisters, Alice Carson and husband, Ted, of Oneida, Tennessee, Kathy King of Pine Knot, Sara Bolduc and husband, James, of St. Cloud, Florida, and Rebecca Moore also of St. Cloud, Florida; and grandchildren, Natalie Smith and Garrett Smith. 

Gary was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoor life, deer hunting, and ginseng, Gary also enjoyed collecting coins, tinkering with small engines, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Burke and Bro. Scott Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
