Gary Reed Howell, Jr.

Gary Reed Howell, Jr., age 40 of Nancy, Kentucky, was welcomed to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Nancy.

He was born on August 17, 1977, the son of Betty Lue (Hill) Howell and the late Gary Reed “Skip” Howell.  He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Herman "Red" & Pearl Hill, and Reed & Sally Howell; two brothers: James Russell Nichols and Joseph Nichols; and four uncles: Donald Hill, Wendell Hill, Paul Hill and Roger Hill.

He is survived by his mother Betty Lue Howell of Nancy, special friends, Heather Gangor, Sandy & Tom Neely, Tom Jr., and Danielle, Jack & Betty Cox, and Rev. Jason Moore; an uncle, Bill Howell of Texas; aunts, Vivian Hill of Pine Knot, Sue Hill of Florida, and Ann Hill of Russell Springs; an a host of extended friends and family.

Gary had been an auto technician for Daimler Chrysler and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Amelia, Ohio.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and pitching horseshoes, and he loved cars.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jason Moore officiating.
