Forest Melvin Spradlin

Forest Melvin Spradlin age 79 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Baptist Health of Lexington.
He was born November 4, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Roscoe Charles Spradlin and Judy Elizabeth (Watson) Spradlin. In addition to his parents, Forest is preceded in death by a brother, Morris Wayne Spradlin and 2 infant brothers.
Surviving family include his wife, Ruby Kay (Kelly) Spradlin whom he married, October 7, 1965; sons, Forest Melvin Spradlin, Jr. (and Tonia) of Fishers, Indiana and Anthony Wayne Spradlin of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; grandchildren, James Noah, Bethany Anne, and Noah Andrew Spradlin; and a great-granddaughter, Caroline Noelle.
Forest was a member of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed being reading as well as being outdoors, hunting and fishing and going to flea markets. Forest was skilled with his hands and enjoyed working with leather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Pastor Virgil Gibson officiating. Burial to follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 1:00 pm until service time.
