Floyd Ray Stephens, age 69, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
Floyd was born November 21, 1945, in Hilltop, Kentucky, to the late Sidney and Elva (Heath) Stephens. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Bobby Jean Stephens Smith, and two brothers; Bud Stephens and Hack Stephens.
Surviving family include daughters; Lisa Stephens of Winfield, Tennessee, Misty Stephens, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Christy Stephens of Winfield, Kimberly Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky and Sandra Spradlin of Winfield, sons; Bobby Stephens of Whitley City, Ray Stephens of Evansville, Indiana and Ronnie Spradlin of Whitley City, seven grandchildren, brother Glenn Stephens of Sidney, Ohio, and two sisters; Lorene Richardson of Sidney, Ohio and Wilma Criswell of Muncie, Indiana.
Floyd was self-employed in the used clothing business having operated several stores in McCreary County. He enjoyed camping and four-wheeling in the mountains and horse-back riding.
Funeral services were held Monday, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Ridener officating. Burial was at the Silerville Cemetery. Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family of Floyd Stephens with funeral arrangements.
