Flora (Duncan) “Toots” Stephens, age 77, of Winfield, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. David Acres and Bro. Richard May officiating. Burial will be at the Kingtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on August 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Flo (King) Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by her husband Kenneth Stephens, two sons; Eddie Wayne Stephens and Dennis Ray Stephens, her great granddaughter Kenlee Faith Duncan, three infant brothers, one infant sister, brothers; Sherman Duncan, Kenneth Duncan and Robert (Bus) Duncan, sisters; Irene Strunk and Opalene Stephens, a special friend Samantha Crabtree and several brother and sisters-in-law and nephews.
She is survived by her children; Betty (and Jonny) Strunk of Winfield, Tennessee, Rick (and Debbie) Stephens of Leitchfield, Kentucky, and Wesley (and Britney) Crabtree of Oneida, Tennessee, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, sisters; Clara Creekmore, Ruth Stephens and Alene (and Elmon) Strunk, brother; Albert (and Evelyn) Duncan, brother-in-law Carthell Stephens, daughter-in-law Sheila Stephens, in-laws; Bill, Bob and Debbie, Kesler and Betty, Jesse and Brenda, Carol, Crawford, Rita, and many friends and loved ones.
Flora was a homemaker and a member of the 2nd Otter Creek United Baptist Church. She enjoyed word search books, playing Phase 10, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Her main pleasure in life was visiting with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
