Mr. Finley Dogue Ridner, age 56 of Parkers Lake, passed away on Monday November 16, 2009 at his home.
Services will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2009 at 2pm at the Eagle Creek United Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Ridner and Rev. Dow Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday after 6pm at the family home on Hwy 90 in Parkers Lake.
He was born in McCreary County on December 18, 1952. He was the son of the late Estle and Nola Hicks Ridner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Dalton Perry and 2 brothers, Ben and Denny Ridner and a sister Flossie Swain.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Goins Ridner and 8 sons: Brandon Goins and his wife Lisa of Parkers Lake, B.J. Goins and his wife Melissa of Parkers Lake, Braxton Goins and Mickle Goins both of Parkers Lake, Toby Ridner and his companion Charlene of Tateville, KY, Danny Ridner and his companion Kim Ball of Stearns, Tony Ridner and his wife Suza of Stearns, and Finley Goins and his wife Pooh of Parkers Lake. One daughter, Lynn Jones and her husband Jimmy Jake of Parkers Lake.
5 brothers: Ted, Leester, Mike Ridner, and 3 sisters, Roxie Mitchell, Wilma Bennett and Mossie Goins. There are 22 grandchildren also surviving.
Finley was a logger and of the Baptist faith. He leaves a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
