Evelyn F Privett

Evelyn F. Privett, age 93, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

Ms. Privett had been a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, visiting with her friends and singing with her family and friends.  She loved to travel and be with her grandchildren.  Coloring was her favorite pastime and she loved her cat “Precious”.

She was born in McCreary County on October 24, 1924, to the late Lewis M and Essie (Baird) Lay.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Privett, a son, Bernard Privett, and two brothers: Ottis Lay and Homer Lay.

Surviving family include her daughter: Wanda Taylor (husband Conley), two sons: Clyde Gary Privett and Charles Privett (wife Barb), grandchildren: Angela Taylor, Stanley and Christy Taylor, Coy C. Privett, Tammy Privett, Steven Privett and Heather Cash.  There are 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, graveside at  Pleasant Run Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m.
