Eva Maxine Maxwell

Eva Maxine Maxwell, age 80, passed away Friday December 18, 2015 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Slaven, Kentucky on October 22, 1935 to the late Rease and Emma (Phillips) Jones.

Besides her parents she preceded in death by her husband Bennie Maxwell; three brothers Raymond Jones, Lonnie Jones, and Darrell Jones; three sisters Almalee Jones, Ina Matthews, and Addie Watson; and one grandson Jeffery David Maxwell.

Eva is survived by two sons Gary David Maxwell of Stearns, and Larry Maxwell and wife Barbara of Stearns; three daughters Lois Matthews and husband Ronnie of Stearns, Audrey Waters and husband Jeff, and Jewell Vaughn and husband Bobby of Stearns; five brothers Leamon Jones, Bronnie Jones, Doyle Jones, Gary Jones, and Denzil Jones; four sisters Netty Thomas, Alline Branscum, Lena Whillington, and Linda Mullins; seven grandchildren Robbie, Debbie, Janifer, Thomas, Tonya, Brandon, and Stacey; eight great grandchildren Tyler, Johnathan, Ashlee, Courtney, Ethan, Emily, Paisley, and Ally; and one great great grandchild Kambrie.

Mrs. Maxwell was a homemaker of her own home and a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, floral arrangements, and spending time with her family.

Funeral Service will be Monday December 21, 2015 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at 12:00 noon until funeral time. Pine Knot Funeral home is assisting the family of Eva Maxine Maxwell with her funeral arrangements.
