Eva Jones

Eva Jones age 94 of Strunk, Kentucky, widow of Edward Jones, passed from this life on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Signature Health Care of McCreary County.

She was born January 11, 1924 in Fort Mountain, Tennessee to the late William Lewis Hill and Della (Blankenship) Hill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Jones; a son, James Edmon Jones; brothers, Raymond, Robert, Grover, and William Clelly Hill.

Surviving family include her sons, Chuck Jones and Donnie Jones, both of Strunk, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and care giver, Roberta King.

Eva was a member of the Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending her time caring for her home and gardening. But above all, she loved and enjoyed caring for her family.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. Burial is to follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday after 12:00 noon until time for services.
