Mr. Ernest Lee Johnson, age 68, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006, in Winfield, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hayes Creek Church of God with Rev. Harvey Logan and Rev. William Kilby officiating. Burial was in the Hayes Creek Cemetery.
He was born November 13, 1937, in Holly Hill, Kentucky, to the late Luther (Luke) and Della Flynn Johnson. He was self-employed having driven a log truck for many years. He was a former EMT and was a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God. He enjoyed coon hunting, squirrel, turkey and deer hunting, fishing and four-wheeling.
Besides his parents, those preceding him in death are two brothers Glen Edward and Melvin Johnson and a sister, Glennis Smith.
He was united in married to Wanda J. Stephens Johnson on May 18, 1985, and they made their home in Pine Knot. Ernest and Wanda have five sons, Craig Johnson, Jack (and Sandi) Johnson, Greg (and Pam) Johnson all of Pine Knot, Jack (and Debby) Neal of San Antonio, Texas, and Charles (and Barbara) Neal of Pine Knot. They have 11 grandchildren.
Ernest has three surviving brothers, Arnold (and Walley) Johnson of Columbus, Georgia, Ted (and Mary) Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, and Eddie Dean (and Debbie) Johnson of Holly Hill. There are two sisters Shirley (and Herman) Roberts of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Hazel Imogene (and Glen) Montgomery of Anderson, Indiana.
