ELDRIDGE COY STEPHENS

Mr. Eldridge Coy Stephens, age 79 of Pine Knot passed away on Wednesday December 23, 2009 at McCreary Health and Rehab Center in Pine Knot.

Funeral services are Saturday December 26, 2009 at 2pm at the Hayes Creek Church of God with Bro. Harvey Logan, Bro. Tim Stephens and Bro. Jimmy Stephens officiating. Burial in the Hayes Creek Cemetery

Eldridge was born on Ryans Creek on February 22, 1930, son of the late Edgar and Nellie Baird Stephens. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Jerry Wayne Stephens and 3 brothers, Oba, Houston and Glennis Stephens.

Survivors include his wife Nina Baird Stephens of Pine Knot, a son Jackie Stephens and his wife Donna of Pine Knot. A brother, Arvel Stephens of Cleveland, Ohio, and 3 sisters, Mandy Stephens of Jellico, TN, and Magdelene McCullah of Williamsburg, and _____________________, Crisilles of__________________. He has 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also surviving.

Eldridge had been a heavy equipment operator, coal miner and coal truck driver having been most recently employed by West Coal.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family of Mr. Eldridge Stephens in his funeral arrangements.
