OBITUARY FOR LIBBY WORLEY
Mrs. Edith Elizabeth "Libby" Worley, age 45, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2006, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 18, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ernest Dalton and Rev. Cyrus Byrd officiating. She was laid to rest in the Angel Cemetery in Stearns.
Mrs. Worley was born in Whitley City, Kentucky, on April 13, 1961, to the late Donald Bowling and Margaret Dixon Bowling Maxey. She was a social worker for East Tennessee Human Resources. She had worked for the Department of Human Services Family Assistance, the Department of Children's Services Juvenile Justice Foster Care, Quality Home Health, the Scott County Hospital, and Phillips Drive In. She also had a cake making and decorating business. She was a member of the Pine Knot Church of God and was involved with the Scott Appalachian Industries Family Support Council, Life Line Home Health, American Cancer Society Relay of Life, Scott County Charity Benefit Auction Telethon, Unicorn Fund Christmas for the Needy, and Foster Children's Christmas Parties.
She is survived by her husband Harlan Randall Worley who loved her very much, two daughters Heather Worley Lovitt of Stearns and Cresha King (and her husband Lee) of Stearns and a step-son Sean Worley (and Candy) of Oneida, Tennessee. She has two grandchildren Olivia Lovitt and Alexus King, and four step- grandchildren Sean, Alex, Lucus and Sam Worley. She is also survived by her mother and step father Margaret and Kenney Maxey of Pine Knot, two sisters Peggy Daughtery (and husband Donald), Lena Lovett (and husband David) of Pine Knot, a brother Sam Bowling (and fiancAC. Lenita Harness) of Oneida, Tennessee, and two step brothers Charles Maxey (and Laura) of Revelo and Michael Maxey of Pine Knot. There are many loving nieces, nephews, friends and wonderful co-workers. Libby was a friend to everyone she came in contact with through her work and her community. She was a loving, caring, understanding and kind lady who through her life made a difference in the lives of all the children and adults she worked with. She shared her love and kindness to others unconditionally. Libby was loved by everyone. She always did everything she could to bring happiness to others and will be sincerely missed by all.
