EARL BRADEN

Earl Braden, age 76, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 27, 2007, at the lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 30, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Rev. Ronnie Peters officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Barry Braden, Greg Chaney, Doug Chaney, Joey Braden, Jason Murphy and Larry Norfleet.

Born March 30, 1930, at Cappuchine, Tennessee, he was the son of Marshall and Perna Blankenship Braden. He was married on June 12, 1948, to Beulah Cooper and into this union was born three children: William Larry, Gary Wayne and Wilma June.

Survivors include his wife Beulah Braden, a son Larry Braden and his wife Sharon, and a daughter June Chaney and her husband Dean. There are eight grandchildren: Barry (and Paula) Braden, Stephanie (and Larry) Norfleet, Greg (and Lisa) Chaney) Doug (and Amy) Chaney, Jennifer (and Todd) Bailey, Joey Braden, Jason and Eric Murphy. There are nine great grandchildren, one sister Geraldine Sewell; a daughter-in-law Judy Braden and a former daughter-in-law Donna Braden. There are a host of other family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, a son Gary Wayne Braden, a brother Verlon Braden and an infant brother.

Earl was a furniture salesman and manager of Lays Furniture for over forty years. He was a member of the Upper March Creek Baptist Church. His passion in life was his family, fishing, gardening and serving the Lord.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
