Dwayne Adkins age 34 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 24, 1989 to Dwayne Allen Adkins and Karen (Stephens) Brunett.
Dwayne is preceded in death by his father; a grandfather, Dwayne "Pa" Adkins; grandparents, Clyde & Gloria Maxine Stephens; great-grandparents, Floyd & Irene Adkins; and several great aunts and uncles that he loved very much.
Surviving family include his mother, Karen & stepfather, Shawn Brunett; his son, Levi Dwayne Adkins and Levi's mother, Selena Patrick and grandmother, Verna Patrick; his sisters, Ashley Stephens (and Matthew), Jordan Adkins, and Kharma Brunett; nephew and nieces, Hunter, Lexi, and Victoria; and his grandmother, Sharon Adkins.
Also surviving are uncles, Robbie Adkins, Daniel Stephens (and Whitney), and Allen Ridener (and Sandy); aunts, Donna Corder (and Billy) and Betty Jo Clark (and Gary); and a host of cousins and extended family.
Dwayne was baptized at a younger age at the Taylor Ridge Baptist Church. He loved sports, especially basketball and the U.K. Wildcats. Dwayne also enjoyed going fishing and collecting old coins, but above all things, he loved to spend time with his son, Levi, who he was so proud of.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial to follow in the Adkins family Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 3:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
