DORIS JEAN BALL

Doris Jean Sumner Ball, of Pine Knot, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Good Samaritan UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was 38 years, four months and 20 days old.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 a€" 2:00 p.m.

Doris was a homemaker but had worked at a billing company in Cincinnati. She loved her children and always greeted them with hugs and kisses. She enjoyed puzzles and watching movies.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 15, 1974, she is the daughter of John Buechel of Cincinnati and the late Linda Litton Buechel and Anthony and Diane Sumner of Cincinnati. Besides her mother, she is preceded in death by a niece, her maternal grandparents Elmer and Emma Litton and Troy and Doris Wilson.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years Tracey Ball, whom she married September 9, 1989, their children Cozy and Crystal Ball all of Pine Knot, her father Anthony (and Diane) Sumner, her stepfather John Buechel, a sister Janie Seward, two brothers Todd Sumner and John (Bud) Buechel, two half brothers Shawn and Matthew Sumner and a half sister all of Cincinnati. Her father and mother-in-law is Donald and Elva Ball of Pine Knot, sister-in-law Tina (and Bryan) Campbell of Somerset, sister-in-law Brenda Ball of Michigan, brother-in-law Wayne (and Kay) Ball of Corbin and several nieces and nephews.
