Donnie Paul Davenport

Donnie Paul Davenport age 38 of Stearns, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Donnie was born on February 3, 1983 in Somerset, Kentucky to Donny Ray Davenport and Donna Mae (Dople) Ball.

He enjoyed spending time with his sons, family, and friends. Donnie thrived off making people laugh; always wanting to see you smile, laugh, and have fun. He even enjoyed making his dad’s dog, Miley, play. He truly had a pleasurable personality that would make anyone feel better. Donnie had a smile that would light up any room. He was a carpenter by trade and was a hard-working father. This past year Donnie had devoted his life to God and was expecting his first grandbaby in 2022. Her name is Ember Rayne.

Donnie is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe C. & Fay Dople; paternal grandparents, Paul & Joyce Davenport; a great-grandmother, Delia Lewis & Roy; uncles, Jessie Michael, Dewain, and Gary Dople; an aunt, Bertha Gail Dople; and cousins, Layla Angel Dople, Wendell Leon Dople Jr., and Joelle Lawson.

Surviving family include his sons whom he loved very much, Samuel Paul Davenport and Marcus Noyle Calvin Troxell; a brother, Dustin Davenport; a sister, Joyce Davenport; uncles, Jerry Jeff, Wendell, Standley, Connie, Teddy (and Hope), Charlie (and Judy) Dople, and Robert Davenport (and Sherry); and aunts, Janet Roberts (and Eddie), Barbara Dople, Wilma Dople, Joann Logue (and Harold).

Also surviving are special cousins that Donnie grew up with, Stacey Strunk (and Kyle), Tiffany Terry (and Jason), Tonya Perez (and Eric), Joey Dople, Mara Miller (and Silas), Aaron Stephens, as well as many other cousins; nephews, Jase Bess, Dustin, Dominic, Malachi, and Zachariah Davenport; and nieces, Madelyn and Jessie Davenport.
Donnie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Braxton King officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 11:00 am until service time.
