Donna Kaye Wilson, age 65, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donna was the daughter of Richard “Dick” and Pauline “Toots” (Miller) Wilson. She was born in Oneida, Tennessee, on August 26, 1948. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Wilson. Her surviving family include her mother Pauline “Toots” Wilson of Strunk, Kentucky, her daughter Stephanie Norfleet (and husband Larry) of Kokomo, Indiana, grandchildren; Tristen, Sophie and Alyssa Norfleet of Kokomo, brothers; Ronnie Dean Wilson (and wife Linda) of Strunk and Trennis Wilson of Strunk, nieces and nephews; Veronica Kates, Paula “P.J.” Bruce, Richard Wilson, Zach Wilson and Tonya Bass as well as other family members and special friends.
Donna was a retired deputy circuit court clerk working under Robert Hatfield and Othel King. She was a good cook and enjoyed cooking. She loved Bluegrass Music and one of her special treats was going to the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Bean Blossom Festival in Morgantown, Indiana. But more than anything in her life, she enjoyed her grandchildren.
