Donald Ray "Munk" Mulkey

Donald Ray “Munk” Mulkey, age 74, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at his home.

 Born September 6, 1948, in Harlin County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Luther and Zola Mae Mulkey.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Faye Moses and five brothers: Sonny, Cecil, Ronald, Marty and Roger Mulkey.

Surviving family include his wife of 21 years, Virginia (Davis) Mulkey, a daughter, Donna Mulkey of Florida, four step-daughters: Janet Duncan of Science Hill, Kentucky, Yvonne Bryant of Pine Knot, Felicia Roberts and Jess of Strunk, Billie Strunk of Strunk, three sisters: Linda Partin of Georgia, Phyllis Kiefaber of Indiana and Ruby Day of Georgia, and one brother: Harold Mulkey of Georgia.

Donald had several grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other family members along with friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Tapley officiating.  Burial will follow at the Jellico Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 at the funeral home.
