Donald Dobbs

Donald Dobbs age 73 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1949 in Co-op, Kentucky to the late Gurstle Dobbs and Clovie Gregory Dobbs. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by a brother, Jim Dobbs, and sisters, Glenna Sue Coffey and Eveleen Coffey.

Surviving family include his wife, Katherine Chapman Dobbs whom he married, November 21, 1970; their sons, Donald Lee Dobbs (and Petula) and Philip Dobbs (and Debbie, all of Stearns, Kentucky; a brother, Victory Dobbs (and Lois Jean) of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Linda; brothers-in-law, Don Coffey and George Coffey; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Donald was a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, and four-wheeling. Donald also enjoyed collecting antiques and old collectibles. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Cherokee Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Duncan officating. Burial to follow in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 11:00 am until service time.
