DOLPHUS ANDERSON

Mr. Dolphus Anderson, of the Hayes Creek Community, passed away on Friday August 7, 2009 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was 87 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 10, 2009 at 11am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home

He was born in Creekmore, Kentucky on March 24, 1922 to Sid and Dicey Trammel Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Willard, Charles and Arthur Anderson, and 2 sisters, Alice and Elsie Litton.

Surviving is a brother, Willis Anderson and his wife Bessie of Hamilton, Ohio, a sister in law, Glenna Anderson, and special nieces Pam, Bonnie and Nina. There are many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Dolphus was a farmer and regularly attended the Church of God. He had a special love for birds and saw the beauty of God's creations in the nature of his surroundings.
