DOLORES J. BROOKENS

Dolores J. Brookens, age 73, of Pine Knot, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Celebration of Life services will be held Monday, November 8, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Ridener officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until funeral time at 6:00.

Born August 2, 1937, in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin Gilbert and Emma Mae Ramsey Clark. Her mother resides in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Her daughter Cynthia Garland resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has two brothers Barrett Clark (and wife Mary) of Knoxville, Tennessee and Michael Clark of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and two sisters Rebecca Orsi (and husband John) and Pat Frige (and husband Gary) all of Chambersburg. There are three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Ms. Brookens was a supply technician for the United States Navy for over 22 years. She was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset and attended the Flat Rock Missionary Church. She loved music and was an avid reader.
