Dillard Arbie Bryant

Rev. Dillard A. Bryant age 73 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. 

He was born June 18, 1949 in McCreary County, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Martha (Murphy) Bryant. Dillard became an ordained minister on May 25, 2002 and was a member of Pine Knot United Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing gospel music and attending church with his wife, Rachel.  Dillard also enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Rachel (Ridner) Bryant; a great-granddaughter, Raelynn; brother, Delmer Bryant; infant brothers, Marvin and Estil Lewis Bryant; and sister, Betty Hammock.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen King and husband, Lloyd of Whitley City; son, Estle Bryant and wife Gabriella of Pine Knot; brothers, Darrell Bryant and wife Judy of Pine Knot and Bob Bryant of Danville; grandchildren, Tyler Strunk, Saralyn King, Madison Bryant, Mackenize Bryant, and Tyler Keith; great grandchildren, Maverick, Abel, Enslee, Lexus, Hadley, and one on the way.  Also surviving are special friends Jody, Wayne and Greg Goodin.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the New Liberty United Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the New Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Perry and Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Pine Knot Funeral Home.
