Devonda Kaye Adkins

Devonda Adkins age 57 of Winfield, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Big South Fork Medical Center.

She was born November 22, 1965 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Everett “Ebb” King and Mattie King. In addition to her parents, Devonda is preceded in death by brothers, Benny, Lonnie, and Gary King; and a sister, Wilda King.

Surviving family include her husband, Tim Adkins of Winfield; sons, Tristin Adkins and Ethan King, also of Winfield; a daughter, Whitney Adkins (and Jeffery Gilreath) of Pine Knot; a special friend, Ovie Strunk; and grandchildren, Alexis Ryan “Lula Belle”, Bryson Ryan, and Keegan Adkins.

Also surviving are brothers, Rick King of Pine Knot, Darrell King of Strunk, and Bobby Newport of Winfield; a sister, Virginia Strunk of Strunk; a sister-in-law, Barb Childers (and Louie) of Harrogate, Tennessee; a special niece Nicole Elam; special nephews, Travis Newport, DJ Chitwood, and Steven King; and many other nieces, nephews, and family that Devonda loved dearly.

Devonda was a homemaker and enjoyed nothing more than caring for her family, especially her grandbabies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Canada officiating. Burial to follow in the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday after 11:00 am until service time.
