Dennis C Egnor

Dennis C. Egnor age 65 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with his parents and other family members on Thursday, September 10, 2020 after a long illness. 

He was born July 22, 1955 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Oscar Egnor and Mary (Stephens) Egnor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Armstrong; granddaughter, Alyssa; a sister, Brenda Burchett and husband, Jack; a brother, Kenneth Egnor; and two nephews, Brian Lee Egnor and Geoffrey Burchett. 

Surviving family include his sister, Debbie Burchett Stankiewicz and husband, Frank, of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Jack Egnor and wife, Mary, of North Carolina, and Denny Egnor of Dayton; eight grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. 

Dennis was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed helping others, serving as a Neighborhood Assistance Officer for over 10 years, as well as working as a Policeman. Dennis also worked as a manager at a store. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and raising dogs, especially Chihuahuas.

Although he was a bit mischievous and stubborn through out life, he was a jokester and had a big heart, and never hesitated to help a stranger in need. Dennis will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him, especially his sister. 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery.
