Denise Bowman

Denise Bowman age 64 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 27, 1956 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Otis Kennedy and Beatrice (Helton) Kennedy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, James Allen Kennedy, a grandchild, Angela K. Genoe, and sisters, Carol Procter and Debra Conrad.

Surviving family include her children, Logan “DeWayne” Conatser (wife, Shonda) of Whitley City and Angela Genoe of Pine Knot; grandchildren, Amilia Cordell, Keisha Genoe, and Gavin Genoe; and great-grandchildren, Kinsely Baird and Kennedy Cordell.

Also surviving are Denise’s brothers, John Kennedy (and Alicia), Andy Kennedy (and Vickie), Mike Kennedy (and Janice), and Wayne Kennedy; sisters, Pam Garland, Janice Bell (and David Ball), Sue Jones, Brenda Kennedy, Sharon Schoffner, Shelby Davis, Elaine Tucker, Becky Phillips, and Rita Garner; and several very special friends that Denise loved dearly.

Denise was a homemaker and a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church. She loved people and enjoyed socializing. She was always wanting to help others in need by cooking and caring for them. Denise loved her family, especially her grandbabies.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens.
