DELLA STEPHENS

Mrs. Della Ree Stephens, age 98, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at the McCreary Health and Rehab Center in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stephens and Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Knot Cemetery with committal service by Rev. Millard Wright. The family will receive friends Friday evening after 6:00 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stephens was born May 23, 1908, to the late Sam and Matilda (Strunk) Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

Besides her parents, preceding her in death is her husband James C. (Jim) Stephens who passed away on August 17, 1941. Three daughters, Virginia Wright, Wilda Duncan and Connie Duguid also precede her in death along with two sons Willard and Cleamon Stephens, two brothers Roman and Roosevelt Jones and two sisters Hattie Musgrove and Bertha Anderson.

Surviving family include a son Roman Clayborne Stephens of Milford, Ohio, two daughters Mildred Wright of Strunk, and Bonnie Haas of Liberty Township, Ohio. There are 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
